    Device Modelling Group:

The simulation of semiconductor devices requires large computational resources and the Device Modelling Group has invested in the latest compute servers to facilitate this.

Some of the servers available include:

Clustervision 100 processor AMD Opteron 2.2GHz cluster IBM pSeries 690 (32 processors) Silicon Graphics Origin 300 (32 processors) plus access to departmental and central university facilities. The group laboratories are also furnished with Linux, Sun, Apple and PC workstations.

Previous facilities included: Silicon Graphics Origin 2000, Sun Enterprise 450, Parsytec Explorer

Parsytec Powermouse, IBM Netinfinity 500, 3 Sun Ultra 10

    Sun Ultra 1, Sun Ultra 2, 7 Sun Sparc Station 4, 2 Powermac G4
